Brain Integration Therapy

WHAT IS

Dream it and we’ll help you make it happen

BIT

Brain Integration Therapy (BIT) is a holistic, non-invasive, and drug-free technique that utilizes the relationship between the mind and body to support the brain to create new neural connections and integrate the left and right sides of the brain. Integration supports the optimization of and synchronization of neural firing and neural plasticity.

A synthesis of western and eastern principles grounded in somatic psychology, neuroscience, biofield science, traditional Chinese medicine, and Japanese acupressure best describes BIT.

The practice of helping individuals optimize their   cognition was developed by the team

Charles Krebs, PhD., and Susan

McCrossin, AP.  Each went on to advance the     work individually through LEAP (Krebs) and     Crossinology Brain Integration Technique         (McCrossin).

Dr. Krebs, hypothesizes that Brain Integration   Therapy (BIT) helps to improve and

organize the brain's electromagnetic

processes, increase access to specific brain functions involved in learning, and integrates and synchronizes neural firing in the brain.

Studies conducted by Susan McCrossin, A.P. report that BIT works by removing stressors in the mind and body through acupressure to

allow optimal communication within

the body and increase blood flow

to the cerebral cortex, bi-hemisphere,

and inter-hemispheric regions. McCrossin's case studies report the improved ability to learn,  enhanced emotional regulation, balance, and physical coordination of participants.

BIT was developed out of the desire to serve children and adults experiencing difficulties learning and regulating their emotions.

In addition, however other co-emerging benefits are often present such as the calming of the autonomic nervous system, enhanced clarity of thought, and an increase in the capacity to regulate emotions, process and release trauma, and psychosomatic symptoms.

Brain Integration Therapy (BIT) is a holistic, non-invasive, and drug-free therapy that engages the mind-body connection to help the brain create new neural connections and integrate the left and right sides of the brain. BIT is based on Western principles of neuroscience, the Chinese meridian system, Japanese acupressure, the Indian Chakra system, and Applied Physiology, a form of energy kinesiology. BIT was developed out of the desire to serve children and adults experiencing difficulties learning and regulating their emotions. However, BIT may be beneficial to all and supports the wellness of the mind-body.

QUESTIONS

What Is Brain Integration

Brain Integration Therapy (BIT) is a holistic, non-invasive, and drug-free therapy that engages the mind-body connection to support the brain's innate capacity to create new neural connections. BIT is based on principles of neuroscience, the Chinese meridian system, Japanese acupressure, the Indian Chakra system, and Applied Physiology, a form of energy kinesiology. BIT was developed out of the desire to serve children and adults experiencing difficulties learning and regulating their emotions. However, BIT may be beneficial to all and supports the wellness of the mind-body.

What are the benefits of Brain Integration Therapy?

The benefits of Brain Integration may be numerous. Clients have reported an improved ability to learn, read, do math, and a heightened ability to problem-solve. Some clients also report improvements in both long-term and short-term memory, an increase in coordination, physical balance, and motor function. Psychologically clients have reported experiencing a release of negative emotions and beliefs and a transformation to healthier perspectives of themselves and others. Some clients feel a new sense of joy, self-love, intrinsic self-worth, and a deep feeling of gratitude and improvement in their interpersonal relationships. Changes may be evident immediately after BIT or may take a few days, weeks, or months to become apparent, but are ongoing. Every person responds differently. Brain Integration may open the brain pathways so that one can process and learn information more optimally, and become aware of new ways to respond to oneself, others, and circumstances. Many factors and stressors can affect one's ability to learn, and to relate to others even after Brain Integration Therapy. Complex trauma, nutritional deficiencies, addictions, congenital conditions, or pathological personality disorders may impact results. Mary recommends to always consult a medical doctor and a licensed mental health practitioner for medical advice.

When will I see results, what changes can I expect, and how long do they last?

Results may be immediate, however, some clients may take longer to notice, as changes may be drastic in nature such as emotional release, or may be felt gradually. The transformation is ongoing. Clients have noticed a calming of their autonomic nervous systems, enhanced cognitive functioning, an increased capacity to regulate their emotions, as well as increased physical balance and coordination. The 84-step Brain Integration protocol can take 6 to 12 hours to complete which covers all aspects of the brain involved in learning. A Brain Integration session can last 30 to 120 minutes, or longer depending on client preference.

Who is a Candidate for Brain Integration Therapy

Everyone is a candidate for Brain Integration Therapy who would like to experience holistic support to ignite their self-care capacity to improve cognitive functioning, emotional processing, the ability to learn, solve problems, be more creative, and improve physical coordination and balance, and more!
