WHAT IS

You already have everything you need
to transform your life - your mind + body

Somatic Integration Technique

Somatic integration technique (SIT) is a body-centered approach to wellness that offers self care tools and practices to help individuals meet life's challenges and transform their lives. SIT is offered asynchronously through soundtracks of guided sessions and accompanying downloadable journals.

A body-centered approach is unique in that both the mind and body are engaged and are considered equally important in the transformative process.

Trauma research suggests the physiology of the body, emotional states, cognition, and the physical body are interconnected through neuroanatomy, neural circuits, and the vagus nerve. In this way, the mind are body are united and engage in bi-directional communication and impact one another.

Tending to both the mind and body is beneficial  because clients may gain awareness of their internal and external states (thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations) both conscious and unconscious (in or out of  awareness).

With mind and body awareness, individuals can learn to stay present and mindful of their lived experiences, gain a deeper awareness of  their needs, how to care for themselves, reach goals, self-heal, improve relationships, and live more meaningful and purposeful lives.

The somatic technique offered is grounded in somatic depth psychology, trauma research, neuroscience, mindfulness, and biofield science.

I combine brain integration with somatic psychology and somatic practices such as mindful focusing, somatic meditation, body movement, art, and active imagination.

Brain Integration Therapy (BIT) is a holistic, non-invasive, and drug-free therapy that engages the mind-body connection to help the brain create new neural connections and integrate the left and right sides of the brain. BIT is based on Western principles of neuroscience, the Chinese meridian system, Japanese acupressure, the Indian Chakra system, and Applied Physiology, a form of energy kinesiology. BIT was developed out of the desire to serve children and adults experiencing difficulties learning and regulating their emotions. However, BIT may be beneficial to all and supports the wellness of the mind-body.
